Sculpture
Nim's sculptures are teaching tools for science. She sometimes makes exact replicas of nature, as she did at the American Museum of Natural History and as shown here for the Bronx Zoo, or she interprets nature, as pictured here in her reworking of the Big Mouth Sculpture in its permanent home at The Virginia Children's Museum. With interactive exhibition firm, Moey Inc., she helped transform an existing large scale human mouth model into a interactive multi-media sculpture. After deconstructing the model, the team retrofitted an LED monitor and an array of touch sensors.
