Hall of Ocean Life
The landmark exhibition halls at the world famous American Museum of Natural History, The Hall of Ocean Life, was renovated during Nim's tenure as Exhibitions Preparator.
Nim played a prominent role in the creation of the new exhibitions, producing dozens of scientifically accurate life-sized models of marine life as part of the permanent displays.
Her scientific artworks were produced using observations and castings from biological specimens from the museums collections. She also worked directly with AMNH scientists to discuss the organization of the displays and the latest understanding of the species on exhibit there.
Her work on the Hall of Ocean Life was instrumental in her decision to pursue Marine Environmental Management at Duke University. As part of the project she also developed a deep knowledge and passion for marine invertebrate species.
